Day 1 (Sunday) – Anchorage
Your journey begins at Detroit Metro Airport. Your tour coordinators will meet you at the airport prior to our flight to Alaska. Flight schedule is TBD but plan on an earlier departure time. We will arrive in Anchorage, Alaska this afternoon and head to Hotel Captain Cook in downtown Anchorage. We will have a welcome reception and dinner at your leisure this evening.

Day 2 (Monday) - Seward & Kenai Fjords National Park
After breakfast, we board our motorcoach and head south along the scenic Turnagain Arm to Seward for your glacier and wildlife cruise through Kenai Fjords National Park. Be on the lookout for Humpback and Orca whales, sea otters, harbor seals, puffins, and eagles. Afterwards, we will enjoy dinner and a night in Seward.

Day 3 (Tuesday) - Kenai River & Homer
After breakfast, we will take in the beautiful waters of the Kenai River and enjoy a leisurely float while spotting species of river wildlife. Have lunch before continuing south to the glacier-lined port of Homer, Alaska. Enjoy the fun shops on the Homer Spit this evening.

Day 4 (Wednesday) – Homer Adventure Day
Embrace the adventure that awaits you today. Participate in the activity of your choice: Deep Sea fishing, a 4-mile hike to Nick Dudiak Fishing Lagoon, a guided sea kayaking expedition or join a local scientist for a tour of the sea bird rookery and a local oyster farm for fresh oysters. One activity is included for the day. Final list of activity options will be provided in January for you to select.

Day 5 (Thursday) - Kenai Peninsula & Knik River
Enjoy the plush green surroundings of the Kenai Peninsula as we head “north” for your overnight at Knik RiverLodge. Enjoy a stop at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center along the way

Day 6 (Friday) - Dream a Dream Dog Kennel & Denali National Park
After a relaxing stay at Knik River Lodge, we will head to Dream A Dream Dog Kennels for a private presentation from an Iditarod Musher. After saying goodbye to the puppies, we will head towards Denali National Park for our overnight at the entrance to Denali National Park. Enjoy time in Denali before dinner at 229 Parks. A restaurant owned by Laura Cole who appeared on Top Chef.

Day 7 (Saturday) – Denali National Park
Hop on board your sightseeing bus for the 42-mile trip into Denali National Park. Be on the lookout for Caribou, Moose, Bears, Dall Sheep and Wolves. Lunch will be served en route. Dinner will be available at leisure at your hotel this evening.

Day 8 (Sunday) – Talkeetna Adventure Day
After a leisurely morning head south to the quaint town of Talkeetna. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way. Upon arrival in Talkeetna, you will have time for a choice of ziplining or flightseeing. Final list of activity options will be provided in January for you to select from.

Day 9 (Monday) – Devil's Canyon & Anchorage
Enjoy a fast and thrilling jet boat tour into Devils Canyon before boarding the First-Class Alaska Railroad cars for your trip to Anchorage. Upon arrival in Anchorage, your motorcoach will transfer you to the Hotel Captain Cook for your last evening in Alaska.

Day 10 (Tuesday) – Anchorage
Breakfast is included at the hotel. After breakfast we will head to the airport for our flight home to Detroit with memories that will last a lifetime.
