Description
Day 1 – Wednesday
Travel to Mackinaw City! We will depart at 6:00am from the Novi pick-up. There will be a pick-up in Rochester and Bay City as well. A light breakfast will be served by a professional Excite Tours Coordinator along the way. From there you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. We will have a rest stop along the way for a bathroom break.
11:30am- Arrive at Shepler’s Ferry in Mackinaw City. We will take or luggage to the luggage drop off zone for our Ferry. Once your luggage is handed over, you can board the Ferry to Mackinac Island.
Once on the Island, we will be greeted by a hotel staff member who will escort us to the hotel where room keys will be handed out. Check in isn’t until after 3 so the rooms may or may not be ready. If they aren’t, you can enjoy the Island until that time.
Dock porters will transport our group’s luggage to the hotel, where bell staff will place luggage inside guestroom door. Luggage delivery takes approximately 1 hour from docks to guestroom. Anything you may need before having access to your luggage should stay with you in case there are delays.
The rest of the day and evening is yours to enjoy on your own!
Day 2 – Thursday
Breakfast is included at the hotel at Winchester’s, starting at 7:30am
10:00am- Board our private horse carriage at the hotel. We will have a 2-hour guided tour of the Island.
12:00pm- Our carriage tour ends of the Grand Hotel, where we will dine the Grand Luncheon Experience. After lunch you can partake in the self-guided tour of the hotel.
You can spend as much or as little time at the Grand Hotel. Afterwards, the rest of the day and evening is on your own to enjoy! If you need a taxi service to get you back to the hotel, please see the bell staff at the Grand Hotel, located at the base of the front porch. The cost is $8 per person one way, cash only.
Day 3 – Friday
Breakfast is included at the hotel at Winchester’s, starting at 7:30am
Luggage is to be placed outside your guest room at the designated luggage pull time. This time will be given to us at check-in. The bellman will collect the groups luggage (never entering inside the guest room) where it will then be transported down to the docks.
Once your luggage is outside your room, you are free to do as you wish until our meet time at the docks.
10:30am: Meet at the docks where your Excite Tours Coordinator will check you in before you board the Ferry back to Mackinaw City.
11:00am- Depart the Island back to Mackinaw City where our bus will be waiting for us.
Our luggage will be at a holding tent at the Ferry Line to await our arrival for pick-up.
Back on the mainland, you will have until 1pm to explore downtown Mackinaw City to shop and get lunch on your own.
1:00pm: Depart Mackinaw City.
